Costumography

Costumography is the process of creating costume alongside the development of choreography. This is counter to my original training and practice which followed the traditional format of creating costumes designed for theatre/dance performances. This is an exciting development in my work, in the studio and workshop I am questioning:

How does the material and structure inform the movement and process of choreographic creation?

How does the choreography inform the design and form of the costume?

In September 2024 I will begin my exploration into costumography, funded through the Arts Council, Develop Your Creative Practice.
